About me

I trained to be an electrician whilst in the Army.  I have maintained my currency and competency since leaving.  I take genuine pride in my work and will go the extra mile to ensure my installation work meets your needs.

I am laser focussed on high quality and safe work whilst keeping prices low.  I don't have many of the overheads that the larger firms do.  I'll think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you check out my pricing page.

Professional competence.  I am a member of the Registered Competent Person (Electrical) scheme (formally the ElectricSafe Register) via my status with NAPIT as an Approved Contractor. For more details check out the Competent Persons or NAPIT websites. I hold both professional indemnity and public liability insurance. Work that is notifiable to Local Authority Building Control will be processed through NAPIT.  And for extra peace of mind all my work comes with my no quibble two-year guarantee.

Registered Competent Person (Electrical). All reputable sparks will be affiliated with an association such as NAPIT. Before hiring someone to perform electrical work, ensure they appear on the Registered Competent Person (Electrical) register to find out which organisation your preferred electrician is affiliated with. From July 2014, this all-encompassing register took over from the likes of Electricsafe of which membership was voluntary. If your chosen sparkie doesn't show up on this site then they may not be qualified, competent or insured to be working on your installation. Choosing a reputable electrical contractor

When hiring an electrician, always look for accreditation with the likes of NAPIT. These good folk ensure people like me are qualified, insured, assessed, inspected and comply with their procedures. Avoid those 'trused trader' style web directories which offer no protection should things so sour, only affiliation with a proper trade association offers real protection. For more information on NAPIT or to check if someone claiming to be a member really is such, you can visit their website at www.napit.org.uk
