To visit you within Medway Towns area to discuss a project or to provide a no-obligation quotation for a set piece of work you want completing then there is no charge. Where pricing hasn't been quoted beforehand for a set piece of work or where faultfinding is required, the following are hourly/part hourly guide prices
Weekdays
£50 per hour.
Weekdays. £50. Scheduled work during weekday hours will be based on this rate.
Emergency - any day any hour.
First hour £60 then £50.
Emergency hourly/part hourly charge will apply whenever a quick response is required regardless of the time or day.
Electrical Installation Inspection
£50 for ring circuits and £25 for radial circuits.
I charge £50 per ring circuit and £25 per radial circuit. Send me a photo of your fuse box and I can confirm how many circuits you have. I’ll admit, I’m not the cheapest for inspection and testing work, but I can guarantee an honest report and a proper job unlike others who offer this service cheaply in order to make up unnecessary remedial work to cover their costs, or who put inexperienced and low-cost personnel on the job.

There is nothing worse than a website not being able to give a price. Unfortunately, the vary nature of electrical installations means that every price will be different. Below are some examples of some recent estimates.
Fair pricing. Every estimate is calculated as accurately as possible. Equally the work may take less time than originally anticipated, reducing the cost. There is no VAT to be added. Here are some examples.
Replacing an old consumer unit with a 10 ways fitted with Surge Protection, Residual Current Devices and Arc Fault Detection Devices. Materials £600, labour £320 (including testing, certification and notification to Building Control). Total £920.
If you have an old rewirable fuse box then having it changed out for a modern consumer unit with circuit breaker, surge and RCD protection will give you the benefit of improved safety and convenience in the event of a fault.
Installation of a radial lighting and socket circuit to a cellar. Materials £180, labour £320 (including testing, certification and notification of Building Control) Total £500.
The installation of lighting and power to a cellar space will dramatically improve its utility.
Installation of an external socket. Materials £50, labour (including testing and certification) £80. Total £130.
IP rated outdoor sockets with RCD protection are a handy addition to the garden to feed lawnmowers, strimmers, pressure washers and the like.
Installation of downlight. Six downlight installed in a kitchen cost £200 for materials and £160 labour (including testing and certification). Total £360.
Recessed spot lighting is a popular theme but if not done properly can cause issues with heat build up and energy inefficiency. In the installation below LED fittings have been installed into a panelled ceiling to provide an attractive installation with low running costs.
Power to Garage. £200 for materials and £200 labour (including testing, certification and notification of Building Control).
If you have an outbuilding such as a garage, shed or greenhouse, talk to me about a modern mini consumer unit installation for lighting, heating and/or socket outlets, supplied if necessary by an overhead or underground cable.
